What are the best football clubs in Surbiton? If you’re a parent looking to sign their child up for a new team, then that’s probably a question you’ll find yourself asking.

There are a few ways to find out the answer. Social media provides a glimpse into what a football club can offer. Speaking to parents of other children who have signed up for teams in the Surbiton are in order to get their recommendations can also be helpful.

We’re also here to help. Here are three of our favourite football clubs in the Surbiton area.

Corinthian Casuals

Corinthian Casuals are not just one of the most well-known amateur football clubs in London – they’re one of the most well-known amateur clubs in Europe. Their dedication to upholding ‘the Corinthian Spirit’ of sportsmanship, endeavour and fair play has made their name famous across the United Kingdom and the wider footballing world.

Children in the Surbiton area are extremely lucky that Corinthian Casuals have a thriving youth section which can impart these values on them from a young age. They welcome children of all abilities, ages and genders and only employ fully qualified FA Coaches.

The ultimate goal of the Corinthian Casuals Youth Section is that players should progress right the way through from junior football to representing the famous senior side in non-league football.

AFC Kingston Youth

AFC Kingston Youth are of one the newest football clubs in the Surbiton area but they’ve very quickly established themselves as a centre of excellence. That’s because they only hire coaches who have plenty of experience working with children.

We’re not just talking FA Qualifications here, but individuals who are working with kids on a daily basis such as teachers. By using those with a proven passion for passing on knowledge, AFC Kingston believe that they can offer the best footballing education possible.

As a result of all this, they’re running 11 teams across leagues in the Surbiton area – not bad for a club that is only in its third season having been founded in 2017.

We Make Footballers Surbiton Academy

The We Make Footballers Surbiton Academy isn’t strictly a football team, but with weekly coaching sessions run by fully qualified FA Coaches and links to local grassroots and professional sides, it provides the perfect option for players looking to improve their footballing ability.

We Make Footballers coaches can recommend a young player to the right club at the right time, making the transition to playing matches as smooth as possible. Going the other way, partner clubs can suggest that their players sign up to We Make Footballers in order to receive additional coaching, helping to improve their skill and ability levels.

A huge part of the WMF Surbiton mission is to help improve our local communities, provide opportunities for local players and help them become the best they can be. You can book a your first session free of charge to come and see what we’re all about.
