Benefits of Training indoor Futsal and the effects it has on players when they play outdoors!

Welcome back to the outdoor season! We hope you enjoyed our indoor Futsal winter season, we definitely did! After all those intense technical drills and 1V1 scenarios we practised through the winter, we are now prepared for the outdoor season on the grass pitches where the players can put all they have learnt into practise.

Here are some of the reasons why Futsal has become crucial for player development!!

Why play futsal?

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is played by thousands of children across the world.

Futsal is a simple game and devoid of complex rules such as ‘off-side’
Futsal is fast and exciting, providing an action packed game that keeps players physically active while having fun.

With the small court and lack of walls, players are constantly placed in demanding decision-making situations, requiring quick thinking, good ball control, precise passing, and creative solutions.

Futsal encourages young players become more agile, faster, stronger and have better balance. It also helps youngsters become more comfortable with the ball and give them lots of opportunities to practice passing, dribbling, turning, shooting and ball control whilst under pressure.

Slide tackles and excessive bodily contact is forbidden in Futsal, resulting in fewer injuries. Smaller team sizes allow players to get more frequent touches on the ball and increased opportunities to score goals. Players are not just a defender or an attacker but a complete player resulting in a much better all-round understanding of the game.
