What Football training is available in Surbiton for four and five-year olds?

Getting your young ones into football for the first time can be a daunting task, especially with so many different things to consider such as quality of the sessions, playing environment, the location, facilities, kit, coaching style and the quality of the coaches delivering the sessions... However, the most important thing about getting your four or five-year-old in the Surbiton area into football is that they learn the vital skills and enjoy the game. This will help them develop a positive relationship with the sport and keep them playing for many years to come.

Surbiton is a busy footballing area and you are in luck as there are a whole host of coaching academies operating in south west London who will help you young one get into the sport whether they are a beginner or have experience from playing at home or with friends!

We Make Footballers Surbiton Academy

We Make Footballers London’s leading football coaching academies who have just opened their newest coaching school at Surbiton’s Southborough High School. Sessions for four, five, six and seven-year-olds take place on a Tuesday evening and are delivered by fully qualified FA coaches whose aim is to provide football training in a fun and safe environment.

Southborough High School on Hook Road has fantastic facilities allowing training to take place indoors in the winter months in a lovely sports hall and outdoors in the summer months for more space. This means that children will always play in the perfect environment and in safe playing conditions. Meaning that little ones will never get cold in the winter months and that parents can sit back and enjoy the sessions no matter the weather!

The venue is located just minutes from the centre of Surbiton with plenty of parking and has bus stops located outside the facilities which means that parents can access easily.

Children of all abilities are welcome to join and coaching focuses on making each individual a better player. We Make Footballers also have links with professional football clubs in the local area and grassroots clubs in Surrey and Middlesex so if your child harbours dreams of breaking into an academy and one day making it in the game, then they can help you potentially help to get a foot in the door.

The first session is free at the Surbiton venue, so why not book up and let your budding Harry Kane or Nikita Parris decide if they like it? Chances are they’ll be wanting to go back week after week following their initial go.

Sport 4 Kids

Sport 4 Kids hold their weekly football sessions at the Hollyfield School in the Surbiton area, There are three different age groups available, starting with S4K Tots for children aged between 18 months to three-years-old. S4K Kickers focusses on those between three and five while your child can remain with S4K once they’re over five by joining the s4k Strikers group which goes up to the age of seven.

Each group focusses on a different theme each month. One month they may be learning skills through pirate themed games, another it might be developing turning skills in a busy racetrack scenario or there could be a few weeks set aside towards mastering the art of the Cruyff Turn.

Whatever the theme, sessions are delivered in a fun environment.

Samba Soccer Skills

If you’ve got a child on your hands who wants to be the next Neymar or Lionel Messi, then you can teach them in the South American ways of football by signing them up for Samba Soccer Skills.

Samba Soccer hold weekly classes for four to seven-year-olds at the Aspire Centre in nearby Wandsworth every Tuesday. Children learn to play the game confidently by being taught a range of ball skills to the sound of samba music and with a smaller weighted football, as if they were playing on Copacabana Beach rather than south west London.

There’s a Skills Tutorial App so children can practice at home and with four levels ranging from beginners through to pros, children of all abilities are catered for.
