SMALL GROUP AND ONE TO ONE TRAINING

The government have announced that 6 people from separate households can now meet in open spaces providing that they keep 1 meters distance from each other at all times. As a result, We Make Footballers are now offering COVID compliant football coaching for kids in the form of training sessions in local parks and private grounds with social distancing between the hours of 9am – 8pm.

The sessions will be treated as separate courses from sessions at our regular venues at schools and universities. We are monitoring the situation closely and hope we can resume regular sessions again in July/August.

In the meantime, social distanced/non-contact sessions will be available in June and July.

How will they work?

Sessions will be offered to children from U7 – U18s. We have created a syllabus of training which develops all technical aspects of the game, as well as the physical and mental requirements needed for football, while also adhering to social distancing. It has taken a great deal of planning!

Where will they be held?

We are operating sessions across ten venues across our network – details can be found at the bottom of this page.

These will be held in private grounds which will have low numbers of people present at any one time. These grounds also have well-maintained playing surfaces.

How much will these sessions cost?

The sessions will range in price based on the number of children attending*. If there are 5 children it will cost £10 per child, 4 children will cost £12.50 per child, £16.60 with 3 children, £25 for 2 children and £50 for a 1-1 session.

*Please note: This is a general price and prices may vary per academy. Different venues may have different costings to suit their local arrangements.

What happens to the money I am owed by WMF for sessions my child hasn’t used?

These sessions will be honoured, we are hopeful that our schools and leisure facilities will open in the next few months. We are very grateful for your patience.

How are the sessions arranged?

Sessions are arranged by emailing your academy owner – contact details can be found at the bottom of this page. If you are interested in the sessions you should reach out and tell us your child’s name, their level of experience and the maximum budget you are willing to spend on the sessions.

If you are happy to book a 1-1 for instance, we can set up a session for you instantly. However, if you would like your child to be with a minimum of 3 children, for example, then you will need to wait a little longer so that we can organise your child to train with other children of a similar age and experience level.

Who will deliver them?

The sessions in June/July will be delivered by each academies most senior coaches to ensure safety and best practices are upheld. Further information can be provided by your academy manager.

What extra safety measures will be in place?

Children will keep 1 meter distance from other children and coaches at all times. Children and coaches will use hand sanitizer provided to wash hands before and after the session. Equipment will be cleaned and sanitized before and after the session.
